Syrkin-Nikolau etal 2018
This pilot study was the first to investigate vibrotactile Coordinated Reset (vCR) stimulation in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Participants received targeted vibration patterns on their fingers over three days. The treatment led to improvements in motor function and gait, with some effects lasting for several weeks.
Pfeiffer etal 2021
This study examined the long-term effects of vCR stimulation and its influence on brain activity. Patients used the therapy at home over several months. The results showed sustained motor improvements and a reduction in pathological beta activity in the brain.
Tass 2017
This paper presents the theoretical and technical foundations of vibrotactile Coordinated Reset stimulation. It explains how targeted sensory stimulation may desynchronize abnormal neural activity in Parkinson's disease. The paper provides the scientific basis for later clinical studies but does not yet include large-scale efficacy data.
