Christian Hauptmann (PD PhD)

Founder and CEO 

Christian is an exceptional neuroscientist and developer with over 25 years of international experience in several start-up companies and universities. With a background in theoretical physics, Christian has developed several cutting-edge neuromodulation techniques during his time at Juelich Research Center and later in several start-ups and brought them to life in medical devices. 

Christof Böhler (PhD)

Business Development 

Christof is a dynamic, results-oriented scientist with a proven track record in technology transfer, business development, and corporate management. He is a strategic thinker with a keen focus on technology scouting, preclinical and clinical R&D, licensing, sales, fundraising, and M&A. Christof is the driving force behind our success in bringing our products to market in Europe and the US. 

Markus Ramseyer (Dipl. Ing.)

Quality Manager

We're so excited to introduce you to our incredible Quality Manager, Markus! With a background in mechanical engineering and business administration, and extensive experience as a quality manager in several medical device companies, he is perfectly placed to enable us to design and build the very best devices that help our patients and customers reduce the burden of disease. 

Nicole Hauptmann (Dipl. Päd.) 

App Development

In a groundbreaking move, Nicole has opened a second window to the brain, in addition to the neuroscientific methods. Nicole is a psychotherapist and educator with a background in developing supportive psychotherapies for our patients. She is responsible for helping them cope with the stresses of daily life in a way that is both effective and enjoyable! 

Tobias Bobinger (PD Dr. med.)

Medical Advisor

Tobias is a board-certified neurologist with extensive clinical experience. His background spans patient care, university teaching, digital health and research, with numerous scientific publications to his name. This gives him a comprehensive understanding of what works in real-world medical settings and what doesn't.

As our Medical Advisor, Tobias helps bridge clinical practice and innovation in neurological care. His focus is on developing new treatment approaches for conditions like Parkinson's that are both medically sound and practically applicable. He brings the clinical perspective needed to turn innovative concepts into therapies that actually work for patients.

Katja Frey (M.Sc.)

Neuroscience & Development

Katja is an amazing addition to the curetec team! She brings a wealth of experience from her background in psychology and computer science and holds a master’s degree in neuroengineering. Katja has tons of experience in EEG analysis and has conducted several amazing projects in the field of neuroscience. At curetec, Katja is the driving force behind all projects involving EEG research.

Elisabeth Rothkopf (B.A.)

Design & Development

Elisabeth is our incredible creative mind! She's responsible for the design and usability of our products. Elisabeth brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table, having recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at the renowned Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS). Her exceptional education has equipped her with the skills and understanding to excel in any project where design and usability are key. In short, she's a game-changer! 

Franziska Kigele (B.Eng.)

Neuroscience & Development 

 
We are thrilled to announce that Franziska joined the Curetec team in May 2025! With her impressive background in electrical and neuro engineering, she is set to make a significant contribution to our research team. With her experience in EEG analysis and signal processing she will be leading the way in advancing our EEG-based development of a cutting-edge stimulation algorithm at Curetec. 

Wilddesign GmbH

WILDDESIGN GmbH is a multinational design company with branches and partner agencies in Gelsenkirchen, Munich, Shanghai, Magdeburg, Zurich and Stuttgart with a total of around 40 employees. The company provides development services for customers who mainly come from the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to the core competence of product design, special services include strategic design concepts, UX and UI design as well as design for manufacturing.
