Our new product

easeU glove

Our therapeutic vibration device called easeU is designed to help people with movement issue gently relax, improve mobility, and ease discomfort, making everyday movements smoother and more comfortable. It is worn at home for few hours a day. The device will be fully compliant with national regulations and will be marketed to physical therapists in the neurological rehabilitation space.

Our Methods

The neuromodulation methods we use are based on advanced developments and studies carried out at the Juelich Research Center GmbH in Germany. There, our CEO Christian was part of the team that established the fundamental algorithms that enable us to precisely modulate brain activity.
These methods have already been used successfully in clinical studies for several indications, such as Parkinson's disease and tinnitus.

curetec has further refined these algorithms and adapted them to the needs of patients. We aim to offer patients new, non-invasive treatment methods that will reduce their symptoms with few side effects.

Coordinated Reset & Neuromodulation

At Juelich Research Center in Germany, we developed a series of groundbreaking methods that allow us to influence the brain. First, we saw these tools as methods to better understand the healthy brain. Second, and far more importantly, we realized that these methods can help influence the pathological activity in the brains of patients suffering from different neurological diseases, like movement disorders and mental diseases. Coordinated reset (CR) is one of these techniques. We are just at the beginning of exploring fascinating new ways to understand the brain and to help patients.

Clinical Trials - Invasive

Our methods were tested invasively, where the brain is stimulated directly with implanted electrodes, known as deep brain stimulation, and they were proven effective. Our pre-clinical and clinical trials demonstrated that neuromodulation has the potential to reduce pathologic activity, both acutely and long-term.

Clinical Trails - Non-Invasive

We have successfully expanded the range of patients who can benefit from our methods by investing in non-invasive neuromodulation. This approach has been shown to be effective in treating tinnitus, with 75% of patients experiencing significant improvements (Tass et al., 2012). Furthermore, over 50% of patients reported that tinnitus was no longer a burden to their quality of life after undergoing therapy (Hauptmann et al., 2015). At Stanford University and Eugene, Oregon, our initial tests at Juelich Research Center with vibro-tactile stimulation were continued with patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease (Syrkin-Nikolau et al. 2018; Pfeifer et al. 2021).
